I really had no idea what to expect but was exceedingly surprised by the friendliness of its employees and the quality of the work performed. I’ll definitely be back as Sun Automotive appeals to me as a viable alternative to service at a dealership.

Finally a reputable shop . We have always had to do our own mechanics due to poor experiences ...It is refreshing to finally have a shop we can trust with our vehicles. The staff is friendly ...prices are very good and everyone is very knowledgeable and professional. Great shop! Thanks so much ! We will definitely be back.

This is the second time I have used Sun Automotive. Their prices are fair and the work was done right. I cannot express how WONDERFUL this place is. I am a skeptic, do not easily trust and am hard to impress. I grew up old school and unfortunately I do not see the same values in today's society. I have renewed hope because of Sun Automotive. I was treated with respect, the lobby was clean, Josh was genuine and HONEST. I could have been charged thousands of dollars for a new engine. Thanks to Josh, his effort, extra caring, research and advice; I am getting the engine replaced without any cost to me. Sun automotive did not benefit from this as I had to take it to the dealership. I highly recommend you take your business to them. You will not regret it and you will find out for yourself that there still are people and places that do the right thing.

This specific location was recommended to me, as I’m relatively new to the area. I took a used ‘24 Subaru Outback in for a prepurchase inspection, and all the staff I spoke with throughout the process were very pleasant and efficent. No one tried to upsell repairs/maintenance practices, and a reason was provided for every suggestion (I double checked all the reasons on my own, and they were all in line with best practices). Cord, specifically, was great to work with - very friendly, communicative, and efficient. The experience I had at Sun Automotive in Springfield was fantastic enough that I will continue going out of my way just for the high-quality service.

Everyone at the shop is so nice and courteous. Techs are knowledgeable and you can trust that none of them are trying to run up your bill. The courtesy driver is really sweet and really went out of her way to get me home quicker. My car is running so much smoother. They actually caught and fixed a mistake that a drive up oil change did to my car. I will be sending my family here from now on.

Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by Cord. He was so welcoming and friendly. They already had my information and scheduled appointment and went right to work. I was driven home by Donna who was also very nice and friendly. I had to get a new tail light assembly which came in a day later. I will totally be back for my next scheduled appointment!! Thanks Sun Automotive in Springfield Oregon!!! Love the waiting area and great antiques.

Brian and the entire staff did a great job in diagnosing the issue that I had with my Toyota Highlander. They provided me with a ride home and back to pick up my car when the work was completed and I live out in Fall Creek.
I will definitely come back to them if there are any auto repairs needed. Again, I cannot thank them enough.

Josh and all the staff just are so great! They are patient, kind and eager to help! Super professional, and treat you with great respect! They treat you like family! Keep you involved in the work they're are doing; explain everything so you know and understand the possible issues and really work hard for you to get your vehicle back on the road!

Sun Automotive is exactly what you wish all auto repair shops would be. I love the “health report” they send you with the inspection. They are also very honest and clear with work that may need to be done and the time period in which it needs to be done. Everyone there is super friendly. Never thought I would actually not mind having to deal with car repairs.

They were able to get my car in the day I called that alone is unheard of around here and I certainly appreciate that. Honest prices and they warranty their work. They Were able to give a very detailed itemized receipt of every step taken and recommendations for the future. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. There business seems to get better every visit.

Broke down out of town so I was stuck for quite a while waiting on my ride, the employees at Sun automotive were so nice. Not one time did they make me feel like a bother. Jon was amazing and super helpful. They took my car in unexpectedly and got it repaired. Even once I was home, they called to follow up and make sure everything went well. 10/10 recommend!!

I have taken my Jeep to Sun Automotive–Springfield twice, and both times they have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional service\. Most recently, they completed several major repairs, including fixing a significant oil leak and replacing the catalytic converters and oxygen sensor\.
After completing the work, they drove my Jeep extensively to make sure everything was operating correctly and confirmed that there were no remaining leaks\. Their attention to detail, professionalism, honesty, and commitment to doing the job properly gave me tremendous peace of mind\.
Major repairs can be stressful, but the team at Sun Automotive–Springfield kept me informed and made me feel confident that my Jeep was in good hands\. After two excellent experiences, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, thorough, and high\-quality automotive service\.

I have lived in a variety of states which means over the years I have had a lot of mechanics work on my cars (some beaters, some fancy). All of the mechanics were competent. But, Sun Automotive is by far my favorite. They are honest and they do good work in a timely fashion. I have used them for the last 20 years and to be honest it is a relief to have a place I can rely on.

Evan and the rest of the team at Sun Automotive at E 19th and Agate were incredible! I came in with my truck for a regular service and they identified what needed to be repaired/replaced right away as well as later down the line. They very efficiently made the repairs and even offered to drop us off and pick us up before and after. I would definitely recommend Sun Automotive!

Sun Automotive was so great, they were able to diagnose the annoying and frustrating noise with swiftness and a calm kindness. Upon pick up, the technician explained all his work, which was also detailed in the notes sent to me prior. I was so relieved that my vehicle was working and sounding so perfect… I also thought it was cool that the technician said he liked trying to figure out a noise issue. It just felt like he enjoyed his work and I was appreciative. Additionally, the final balance was $200 less than quoted. Just great stuff.

Sun Automotive at 19th & Agate street was great! This was our first visit. They did a thorough evaluation of our 13 year old Honda Pilot and helped us replace the brakes and a few other items. They had excellent customer service and I especially appreciated the online appointment scheduling option and photos of each part that needed service. It seemed very transparent. We’ll definitely use them in the future for other services!

WOW! Is all I can say about this repair shop. I don’t think I’ve ever met nicer people. We had a small mishap with our rental car on a Thursday night. We went over Friday morning and they were so helpful. They squeezed us in for a minor repair and did a fantastic job. The front office staff was so accommodating and made us feel like we were their number one priority. Highly recommend. And guess what? They love ducks!

Sun Auto, and Layne specifically, was incredibly helpful and professional throughout. We were buying a used vehicle and were looking to have it inspected prior to purchasing. Layne and the team did a great deal of preparation and work in a short amount of time to accommodate our quick schedule and provided very useful information and recommendations to help us with our servicing options. We are from out of town but plan to work with Sun Auto anytime we’re in town and need vehicle help. Thank you to the entire team for all the help! You guys are wonderful! I was told exactly what was wrong with my car and what the process would be if they kept it overnight. Best service I've received from any repair shop in Eugene/Springfield. Sent me an organized list of suggested services on top of the service I requested. Worked with me within my budget to prioritize the most important repairs and were up-front and 100% clear about pricing. My repairs required new parts and installation/testing/alignment, which in my previous experience, takes multiple days to complete. Dropped my car off in the morning and still got it back the same day. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a trustworthy and capable mechanic.

I had to have the engine replaced in my other vehicle, and the job was done way quicker than I anticipated. They gave me several options and the cost was right in line with what I was told.

It was a challenge to have a large set of repairs all at once and not have my truck for a good portion of a week. Josh listened to my frustration and was kind, competent, and constructive as I voiced a bit of grumpiness. I was looking for a long-term mechanic I could trust well here in my new town. Best customer service. I took my car in for a check up, because I had work done at another shop, and wasn’t feeling good about the results or quality of the job. Come to find out the original shop used old parts and did a mediocre job on my vehicle. Sun automotive was clear and detailed on what needed to be re-done. They even gave me a deal on parts and labor. (Probably because of my traumatic experience with the other shop) I appreciate all the fellas down at the Agate location. They even gave me a ride, and picked me up from work.

Awesome service! My daughter in-laws car broke down near Eugene. We called Sun and they said they could look at it right away. We got there and Karl (who was on his way to lunch) postponed his lunch to not only diagnose our vehicle's issue but ordered parts and changed the spark plugs within an hour to get us back on the road. Lucas and Karl are great. I would highly recommend Sun Automotive.

I appreciate the service Sun Automotive provided me. They were very supportive with information of my car overall health. I was provided a very detailed account of the services I desired and the costs within my budget. The time from start to finish was astonishing. I have used them on multiple occasions to keep my vehicle in step with needed repairs and updates to outdated parts I do not have a particular slush fund for my vehicle but I found that these guys really care that your car is safe for the road and the cost is worth the security I feel knowing that I have a group of people that do quality work. Thank you for help when i needed it. I appreciate the kindness you have shown me .

My car was towed there on a Saturday. They have a form/envelope to fill out and put you key into. Then, you just put it in a secure drop box.
They did a very comprehensive inspection, which also prioritizes most important repairs and maintenance.
Jeff was great with communicating with me and even arranged to have someone pick me up to get my car. He even cleaned my very opaque headlights.
They definitely earned a top rating. 😁

Hands down, the best automotive shop in the Valley. These guys are honest and knowledgeable, provide excellent customer service, and their courtesy drivers are professional (and helpful for me as I live in Harrisburg with only one car for our household). They go out of their way to be fully communicative with each issue and provide a clear explanation of what is wrong with the vehicle, including showing me the problems with the part or parts, which I've never experienced before. They also work with us (and our annoying warranty) to make sure we can pay for the repairs, which we are so grateful for. Thank you!

Jeff was great to work with. I came in to get bulbs replaced and I had the wrong ones and he explained to me the ones I did need. I was also getting my headlights on my car restored. He was very fair on working with me on cost which I very much appreciated. Thanks to him and staff.

So appreciated that I was able to get my car in the same day for service. Had a long trip in front of me & I wanted to make sure all the bells, sensors were good on my vehicle. Jeff & his dedicated team did a fantastic job of keeping me informed of what was going on. They even vacuumed out the car & offered me a free car wash. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I am grateful I found them!!!!

Paid $1200 for complete AC repair with a 3 yr warranty. A year and a half later I have no AC again and they want over $1000 to fix it. Worthless warranty... I'll never go back. I recharged my system myself for $40... ice cold.

Super friendly and respectful staff, an easy-to-find driveway on a quiet side street off the ever busy Coburg Road, and quick to change a car battery within a 24-hour notice while being more affordable than my usual maintenance appointments at the dealership. I admit my first impression is quite positive and I might consider going to them over my dealership in the future.

Jordan, specifically, was essential in guiding me through an issue that made my car *almost* unusable, and lead me toward a direction that actually saved me from making the dreaded "repair the car or put that money toward a down payment" decision. I took my vehicle in with a couple concerns. They called me and asked me a lot more detailed questions to try to pinpoint the issues I was having. At the end of the day, they called and said that my car Had no safety concerns and what I was feeling was normal. They did make a suggestion That I may want to take a look at later. To be honest, I was expecting a large bill, even with them just going through my car and having an all day, but surprisingly, I walked out of there under $100 which I was very pleased with. The customer service was amazing with everybody that I spoke with.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From the reminder call and text to walking me through the inspection. I went in for a simple oil change and feel like my car got a great inspection. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. When servicing your car, you get a free inspection and a detailed report (printed and or emailed upon request) of your car's engine, brakes, power steering and transmission.

I was able to get a timely appointment (called Wednesday afternoon and got a Monday morning appointment). And was able to get a follow -up appointment for the following Monday.
Costs were reasonable, below what I expected.

I am a first time customer and was very impressed with the communication and ease of scheduling. I made it a little difficult because of my work schedule but they were patient and hung in there with me. I felt that my vehicle received a thorough inspection of everything that needed to be done, but did not feel pressured in any way to do anything that I didn’t want done. I needed my brakes done and I did have a few other price quotes before taking it to Sun Automotive. I needed to stay within a budget and they impressed me with a bit of a discount to make it happen. I came in contact with 3 employees and they were all very nice and respectful. The location was clean and very organized. I would take my car there again!
